Jesus Christ opened the eyes of His disciples by telling them what they must always do, which is to pray. Prayer is so important to Jesus Christ that he related a parable to illustrate it. In this parable a widow received justice from a judge who neither feared God nor regarded man: the widow got justice because she never gave up after several rejections by the judge. With this parable Jesus wants us to learn to be patient and wait for our reward when we pray. God wants to develop the virtue of patience and resilience in His children.
