And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 (KJV)
The opening scripture throws light on who we are to fear; Jesus Christ exhorted his disciples on many occasions to fear not, but on this occasion pointed out who they are to fear. The body is predisposed to various attacks from the devil and his cohorts of darkness, but the soul is out of their reach. The only person who has access to both the soul and the body is God; He is the creator of the soul and the body and has power to destroy both in hell. Therefore, the deceived who think hell is a myth should understand that hell is real and God has the ability to destroy them in hell if they don’t repent their sins and make Jesus Christ their Lord.
