But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:22-26 (KJV)
When a tree bears fruit, other living things such as animals, birds, and human beings are the ones that enjoy it most. Likewise, as Christians, the fruit we bear is to be enjoyed by others so they may give glory to God.
We live in the presence of God as Christians and, as such, should allow the Holy Spirit to live His life in us. Dear reader, if you allow the Word of God to work in you, you will never provoke people, let alone envy them. Share your comments here!
