The opening scripture has enlightened us about the goal of God at training his children by his Word. His goal or objective is to bring his children, especially leaders to a place of maturity/perfection for good works. God is not happy when his leaders fail, therefore, he trains them thoroughly and expects them to be good examples to their followers. Our goal as children of God is to submit to the training of God no matter how tough it may seem.
