There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)
Christians who come across our opening scripture should be glad because it is a key to overcome all temptations. Jesus Christ overcame all temptations and made it common for man to also overcome all temptations in his name, Matthew 4:3-11. The faithfulness of God allows every man to be tempted within his ability; therefore, God does not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability to overcome. He provides a way for us in his Word to win over temptation, therefore, instead of complaining what one needs to do is to find that way of escape in the midst of the temptation. If you don’t find it what do you do? What you do is to pray for God to show you that way of escape. Quote the scripture above to him and He will give you an answer. He also gives us the grace to bear temptations just us He gave Jesus Christ the grace to endure and overcome his temptations. We should also understand that God tests us but the devil tempts us. The intention of God in testing is to promote us but the intention of the devil in temptation is to discredit and run us down. Dear beloved, what did learn from this article? Share your thoughts here!
