Take No Offence

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Luke 17:1-2 (KJV)

Jesus Christ noted that offences will come, but warns the one through whom it will come. He said the offender will be severely punished. This shows how much Jesus Christ loves His children; His children are so dear to Him that He does not want them to be offended. Offences could lead to pain, hatred, discouragement, shyness, bitterness, etc.; therefore the Lord Jesus does not want to entertain them. Likewise, the children of God do not have to entertain offences. We need to pray against it as much as possible so believers can live in peace, joy, and love. Dear reader, have you been offended before? Share with us how you dealt with it!
