Waiting On God

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalms 62:1-2 (KJV)

Some trust in their money, others in their idols, some also trust their political power, and still others trust in their talents or gifts. Money, idols, political power, talents or gifts can fail you but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and shall walk, and not faint, Isaiah 40:31. Sometime it is difficult to wait on the Lord, however, it is the only solution to lasting salvation. Waiting on the Lord means developing the character of looking up to God and His Word for direction. Sometimes you may have to leave the crowd and get alone with God in fellowship for specific direction. Only a personal relationship with the Lord would propel you to agree with the Psalmist that the LORD is your salvation, rock, and defense. Dear beloved, how do you wait on God? Share the word.
