You Are A Pace Setter

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Genesis 2:2-3 (KJV)

God is such a good God; He is so transparent that He gives us a good example to follow. He is indeed a PACE SETTER. He created heaven and reshaped the earth in six days and rested on the seventh day. He rested not because He was tired and needed a rest but set a day aside so that man can rest and worship Him on that day. A day that man can appreciate and adore Him. In the old covenant it was one day set aside to rest and worship God. However, in the new covenant everyday has been sanctified by the blood of Jesus to worship God. We are permitted to set a day aside to rest from our labor; we are not compelled to assign a specific day to worship God. This is the kind of liberty Jesus Christ has given to the new creation through His blood. The believer in Christ Jesus is encouraged to set time aside for fellowship with the Lord. Dear reader, do you rest? What do you do on that day? Share your thoughts here!
