The Power Of Words Of Encouragement

In life there is almost never a straight path in terms of emotions. Within the human lifecycle one tends to experience a wide range of emotions when we are not connected with the Holy Spirit in everything we do. You could be joyful and full of life today and the next day you may end up with a frown and in complete disillusionment (*Please bear in mind that this does not hold for the mature believer who is walking in his/her identity).

When there is happiness and life there is most certainly not much need for alarm. On the contrary when your brother or sister or even oneself is on a down turn emotional state then something needs to be done. For a child of God one place to run to for comfort is the word of God. The bible is not devoid of words of encouragement.

Persecutions and sufferings are key ingredients that cause disillusionment in the life of Christians. It is so much so that Christ Himself said since He went through it anyone who takes up their cross and follow Him will have to go through it. As much as Christ did forewarn His children of what is to come He was also keen to leave us with quite an array of powerful words of encouragement. He will never leave us nor forsake us, those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

When you find yourself in a discouraged state because of the worries of life such power packed words of encouragement in the word of God will do well to lift your spirits. The daily walk of life and working of salvation may leave you feeling all alone and discouraged. But the word of God says clearly there is nothing new under the sun. So for whatever situation you are in God promises that He will never leave you nor forsake thee. The word of God will also have you know about another child of God who went through the same thing and ended up prospering out of it by rusting in the words of encouragement from the Lord.

The spiritual journey has never been easy at anyone point. The word of God took all this into account and this is one of the reasons that it is and will always remain to be a Christian living guideline. The words of encouragement are even derived from the life of the Messiah. I say He is a faithful High priest for He went through all we go through and concurred it all. So we as His children and followers need to find encouragement in His life and His words of encouragement. I pray that you will walk in the fullness of life that God has provided for us. Don’t let life beat you down but look at your problems with the focus on heaven, have faith that a solution is available and speak to that mountain to be removed.
