12 Scriptures On Peace

Most people want to feel a sense of peace personally and in their relations with neighbors. Here are 12 Scriptures On Peace.  For those who are fortunate enough to live in a country which is not at war, one of the benefits is a level of peace. Inner peace is possible even when the world around is at war, if you carry a sense of God’s protection and concern for your well-being. These scriptures on peace will help you to reflect on the involvement of God in every aspect of life.

Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. As a member of the family of God, you can enjoy the same sense of peace and comfort that He received from God, the Father. One of the final bequests of Jesus to his disciples was the gift of peace. He promised peace as a true gift, everlasting, one which would not be taken away. His gift was unconditional.

If you are struggling with the cares of daily life, whether they are health problems, relationship issues, or financial worries, God provides the comfort you need in the verses from His word. You can always rely on God to keep His promises. He promised that peace can be part of your emotional makeup through His help. He doesn’t promise that the underlying issues will be immediately resolved, but He does promise that you can rest in His promises and know that He will provide the peace you need to get through the problems.

Peace is more than a cessation of hostilities, it is a state of mind that is calm, confident and secure in the knowledge that God is in control. Working together with fellow believers offers a sense of unity and peace to all activities. Living peacefully with neighbors and family members is just one benefit of having a peace from God’s word deep in the heart and mind of the believer.

Remaining at peace with one’s actions, even in the midst of troubling times, comes from a commitment to live according to the principles of God’s word. By practicing His tenets, however imperfectly, you can be at peace with your conscience. You can enjoy a restful and peaceful night’s sleep, know that you have given your life over to His control.
