God is always delighted when His children seek Him wholeheartedly. It is amazing to know that the God who created the heavens and the earth is moved with emotions towards a single child who seeks after Him out of the billions of people in the world. His love for us is always personal and He deals with each one of us individually.
As you desire for a deeper relationship with God, know that such a desire is also the beat of the Father’s heart towards you. He wants to get deeper with you more than you wanting to get deeper with Him. He will surely reveal Himself to you and He will never fail your expectations as you desire to know Him more and intentionally spend time with Him and in His Word.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” God will give you your heart’s desire of getting deeper in your relationship in Him because you delight in Him.
So as you come in prayer and acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in you, simply declare your hunger and thirst for the LORD; that you desire to know Him more and get deeper in your relationship with Him. Magnify and praise Him, and He will surely reveal Himself to you and take you deeper in the depths of Abba’s heart.
