Who Is Your Neighbor

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. Luke 10:36

Jesus Christ is a great God and always has a perfect answer for any questions that are bothering us. Jesus Christ was teaching when a certain lawyer who wanted to justify himself asked Jesus who his neighbor was. Now, according to the dictionary definition, a neighbor is a person who lives next to or near another person. However, in the Kingdom of God, being a neighbor requires an action. Anyone who meets the need of another person is a neighbor to that person. Jesus Christ used the parable of the good Samaritan to explain what it is to be a neighbor in the Kingdom of God (Luke 10:30–35). Dear beloved, don’t just live next to or close to a person but minister to the need of that person so that you can be a true neighbor to them. Praise the Lord! Share your comments here!
