The Love of the Father

Psalm 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

The love of God as a Father to us is not the same as how our earthly father or mother loves us. God’s love is incomparable and none like other for He loves us unconditionally. God is not like a father who expects you to perform your best and then punishes you if you fail; He’s also not like a father who is passive and simply lets you do anything you want including the things that would harm you; neither is He an obedient-oriented father who takes away your freedom by controlling you to obey Him in fear. Psalm 103:13 says, “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” God as our Father is compassionate to all His children, those who respect Him and honor His name. And anything you ask for in Jesus’ name, He would give unto you for it is His promise in the Bible.

So as you desire for a deeper relationship with God, thank Him in prayer for the love and compassion that He has towards you. Acknowledge and honor Him as your Heavenly Father who so love you that He gave up His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ for your sake. Thank Him for He will grant the desire of your heart to know Him more and understand the depths of His heart in Christ Jesus.
