“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.”
God never said that following Jesus would be easy or that we would have an obstacle-free life. In fact, Jesus said that when we say yes to Him, the world will hate us because it hated Him first. It hated Him because the world does not know the Spirit of Christ.
In our walk of faith, we will encounter difficulties, persecutions, rejections, and other wounds because of our faith in Christ Jesus. However, this shouldn’t be our focus. Our eyes must continually be fixed upon the LORD, the author, and finisher of our faith.
Whether you are currently experiencing many difficulties in your life or if you are down to the ground, Proverbs 24:16 says that the godly may trip seven times, but they will rise up again. You will get up again. God will pick you up and restore you. He will strengthen you and lift you up as you continue to trust in the LORD with all of your heart, all of your strength, and all your soul.
As you come in prayer before our Heavenly Father, praise Him and thank Him, for He will get you up no matter how many times you fall. Thank Him for His faithfulness in fulfilling His Word over your life, and declare that you will see the goodness of the LORD all the days of your life, no matter what life throws at you. You are a child of God, and He will never break your heart or leave you alone. God is always your present Help in times of trouble and need. Give Him praise and magnify His goodness.
