A Christmas Prayer to Jesus

As the Christmas season is here, it is a wonderful time to remember and be thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ—for His life and for willingly sacrificing His life in exchange for ours. This season, we can thank the Father for giving us Jesus Christ because of His great love. It is a wonderful season to simply be thankful for everything He has done for us. Here is a simple Christmas prayer to Jesus that you can pray on Christmas eve:

Lord Jesus, I am thankful to the Father for giving You to us. I have found inner peace, contentment, satisfaction in life, and joy through You. You have brought a great change in my life, and I am forever thankful that You were born and came into my life personally. May You always be known and have many lost souls found and many brides returned to Your arms because You deserve it. I am always here making myself available for You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You can also meditate on Bible verses that celebrate the life of Jesus Christ and be thankful to God in your declarations and adorations of His Word. Here are some Bible verses for Christmas, along with prayer ideas:

A Christmas Prayer to Jesus

What do I say when I pray to Jesus?

You can say many things to Jesus, depending on the content of your heart. He is always there to listen to you, take away your burdens, and give you rest when you are tired and weary. Praying and talking to Jesus is like communicating with the person closest to you, except that Jesus exceeds more than what a human can do for you. When you come to Him in prayer, just be yourself and tell Him what is in your mind and heart.

You can even ask Him questions, just like the disciples who asked Him about parables and certain things they didn’t understand. Jesus is the most relatable and understanding Friend, Brother, and Lover – apart from being God, Lord, and Savior – that you can ever find. He won’t condemn you for what you will tell Him; He won’t reject you or forsake you. He represents the heart of the Father and wants you to know how loved, valued, and cherished you are by Him, your Heavenly Father.

When you pray and talk to Jesus, you can simply say: Lord, I have something to tell you. Or you can say, Thank You, Jesus, for always being there for me. Today, this happened… You can be an open book and be unafraid to be yourself when you pray to Jesus. He listens, and He cares for you. Don’t be afraid to tell Him your darkest secrets or even the little struggles that cause you to sin and stumble. Remember, Jesus Christ has nailed all kinds of sin on the cross, and He already knew the worst of the worst. So what can be the worst? Just go ahead and be honest with Him. Have a heart-to-heart talk with the LORD and let His wisdom, encouragement, deliverance, and peace engulf your soul.

What was the prayer that Jesus taught us?

In Luke 11:2-4, Jesus taught His disciples to pray in this manner:

“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”

Through this prayer, we can learn how we can honor, give glory, and make requests unto the Father in Jesus’ name.

We can see some reverence for the Father’s name as the prayer begins, prioritizing His will more than our own; then comes the daily needs, as well as forgiveness of other people and divine protection of God. Jesus simply wanted to show us how we can communicate to the Father.

Moreover, Jesus has spoken more about our prayer habits and attitudes. He said in Matthew 6:5-8 that when we pray in public, we shouldn’t do so with a heart to show off our holiness or for the applause of men as a hypocrite would do. Instead, a prayer that is truly rewarded by the Father publicly is one in your private moments with Him, where no one else can see but God. He also said we are not to pray in memorized patterns and repeated manners as pagans do; instead, we come as we are because our Heavenly Father already knows what we need.

So, as the holidays are here, simply enjoy this wonderful relationship that you have with the Lord Jesus Christ and come as you are in your prayers to Him in all adoration, reverence, and worship of His Name.
