A Closing Prayer for Class

Being a teacher is a great privilege and a gift from God. You are given the authority, wisdom, and knowledge to raise up a mighty generation of humble learners and students who will someday change and impact this world for the better through Christ Jesus. Whatever subject or field you teach, know that the LORD is very pleased with your life as you draw your students to God, even through your prayers. You may be here looking for what a good closing prayer to class might be. Simply think about a good way to part with someone dear to you—you want to wish that person all the best, you want that person protected as he or she parts from you, and you want to thank God for everything He has done in your moments together with that person. It’s the same way with a closing prayer for classes. You want to leave words of life, protection, and blessings to your students as they go home. You can pray A Closing Prayer for Class in this manner:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for all the wisdom and knowledge You have given us today. May the students apply everything they have learned today in their lives. Continuously give them wisdom, guidance, and understanding in their learning years. I pray that you protect them and bless their families as they go home today. Keep them safe from harm, and may they have a wonderful time with their loved ones. I declare Your presence in their lives and their homes in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You may also use scriptures from the Bible that speak of blessings, protection, and a reminder of God’s faithfulness in their lives—these will leave a mark in the students’ minds and hearts as they go home. Here are some examples of Bible verses that make good closing prayers for class:

A Closing Prayer for Class

How do you pray at the end of a school class?

So, as you have read above, you can end a school class by blessing the students, declaring life, protection, and peace to their homes, and reading a scripture from the Bible that will make an impact in the minds and hearts of the class. You want to part with them full of peace and joy with the presence of God filling their souls. As you allow the Holy Spirit to move and speak through you for your closing prayer to the class, He can even start speaking words of knowledge, prophetic words, and specific scriptures that may be timely for most students. Be sensitive to the Spirit of God as you lead your students in prayer, both at the beginning and the ending of the class, and expect a glorious day every day with your class.

It is a great privilege to be able to teach, guide, and impart knowledge and wisdom to your students and, most importantly, bring them to the knowledge of Christ and who they are in Him, even through your prayers.

May God be glorified in your life and bless all your students in the name of Jesus.
