We know that God hears our every prayer but not all prayers are effective or get answered. According to James 5:16 an effective and powerful prayer comes from righteous person. And Christians who truly follow the LORD Jesus Christ and have a relationship with Him are already declared righteous before God! This is the wonderful news to all of us who believe in the Son of God. None of us have to boast about our own goodness, but we boast only in what the LORD has done for us.
By faith, God has made you righteous in Christ Jesus. You can think of all your failures and weaknesses before God, but He only said, “Believe.” You just have to believe that you are righteous because Jesus lives inside you. It is Christ’s righteousness in you that makes your prayers powerful and effective!
When you pray to God, believe that He will answer you because His Son lives in you. You are powerful because of Jesus and God will answer your prayers because you are His child. Believe that you are righteous – not because of what you do but because of what Christ has done for you. Keep this in mind as you pray to our awesome God.
