Praying the Heart of the Father

1 John 5:14-15

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

As believers, it is very important to know the heart of the Father. What’s in His heart is always His will. Sometimes, people can pray for things that are not in the heart of God that’s why they don’t get their prayers answered. God has already revealed what is in His heart through  His Word and has even demonstrated through the life of His Son, Jesus Christ.

We can be confident that our prayers would be effective when our prayers are in line with the will of God. The will of God is written in the Word – His principles, His personality, His character, His values; everything can be read in the Old Testament to the New Testament. He is the God who never changes. The more you know God’s Word, the more you know what His will is. And eventually, His will becomes your utmost prayer. You become so in sync with the heart of God that every prayer in your heart is also the heartbeat of the Father. And the truth is, you are hungry to know more of God’s heart that is why you are seeking His will. Know that God is so delighted in you and He will certainly answer your prayers as you continue to increase that hunger for His truth and His righteousness.
