A Child’s Prayer For School

If older people pray for matters relating to their work, children do the same with their studies or schooling. When we say praying for school or studies, it does not only pertain to one’s studies alone. Though studying is at the heart of schooling, there are many other things that a child can pray for concerning their education. One example is the everyday travel that a child does. Whether a child is being transported by their parent or a school bus, their safety during travel is one of the things they can pray for.

Here is one of the ways you can pray for safety and protection as you travel from your house to your school and back:

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things. I pray that You would keep me safe from any harm or danger as I travel to school and later on as I return to my home. I pray that no accidents shall happen. Give my [family/bus driver] the grace to drive safely along the way. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

What is a good prayer for school?

Aside from praying for safety when you travel from your house to your school and vice versa, there are many different things that you can pray for concerning school or studies. You can pray for your teachers as they teach you and all the other students in your school.

Here is a prayer that you can pray for your teacher as another day in school starts:

Heavenly Father, I pray for [teacher’s name] that You would give [him/her] the strength to teach us on this, another day at school. Give them the grace, Father, to teach us excellently so that we will be able to understand well our lessons. I pray that they will have a productive day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

You can also pray for the security guards of your school. Praying for your school’s security guards every day as you go to school is a good thing because every day, they make sure that you and all the people inside your school are safe.

You can pray this way as you cover your school’s security guards in prayer:

Heavenly Father, I pray that just as our security guards at school keep us safe and protect us, You would also keep them safe and protect them. Keep them from any harm or danger as they do their duties, Father, and give them the grace to always have an alert mind and awareness of their surroundings. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

Of course, you can also pray for others in your class. Here is a prayer you can pray for your classmates at school:

Father in heaven, I pray that You would also keep my classmates safe and protect them from any danger as they go to school and back home afterward. I pray that they shall always pay attention to the teacher during class and strive to do excellently in their learning. I also pray that I will be able to build good relationships with them, Father. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

What are the ways to pray for students?

As a student, you can pray for your school in many ways. One is by praying to God to help you be excellent in your studies. Praying for your studies is one of the things that you can do to become a good student because you should never depend on yourself but on God. Here is a prayer that you can pray for your studies:

Heavenly Father, I pray that You would give me the grace to be faithful and excellent in my studies. Help me, Lord, to understand every lesson or subject that I am learning. Give me the wisdom and understanding to study efficiently and help me to glorify You in my studies. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

You can also pray a prayer of thanksgiving to God whenever you have done well on your studies, like getting good scores on a test or quiz. The best response is to thank God because you were able to do well on your exam only because of God’s grace and help. Here is how you can thank God in your prayer:

Father in heaven, I thank You for the grace and strength You have given me to study well and do well on my test/quiz. Thank You for giving me an understanding of the subject matter. I pray, Father, that I will always seek the understanding of the subject more than the good grades. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

What is a good Bible verse for a child?

There are several Bible verses that a child can meditate on concerning school. One is from Colossians 3:23-24 where it is written:

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

When we study, we study not for our teachers or our parents. We study for God. Knowing that we study for God should inspire us and motivate us to do excellently in our studies and be faithful in this.

Another good verse is from 1 Corinthians 10:31. It is written:

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

In everything that we do, even when it comes to our studies, we should do everything for the glory of God. One good question to always ask ourselves is, “Am I glorifying God with my studies?” If not, then we have to strive to be faithful in our studies and always seek to glorify God with the way we learn. Note that glorifying God in your studies does not necessarily mean getting good grades. Glorifying God means being faithful in your studies and making sure that everything that you do is right and pleasing in the eyes of God. That means being honest in your schoolwork and never cheating. That leads us to two other Bible verses that you should always keep in mind: Proverbs 8:13 and Proverbs 10:9. It is written there:

Proverbs 8:13

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

Proverbs 10:9

“He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day for me to go to school and learn new things.

If we want to glorify God in our studies, we will strive to be faithful in learning and do it well. Being faithful in your studies also means making sure that you submit the things required of you on time, understand the subject, and don’t neglect your study time. In everything you do in your school, make sure that it is rooted in reverential fear and love toward God, meaning with the desire to always do what is right and turn away from anything evil or dishonest.
