Matt 6:33 – “But seek first His kingdom and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Often times, many people have the tendency to go and seek for philosophies and quotes of men when they are in need of wisdom, healing and guidance rather than running to God, opening their Bible and seeking for His Word instead. But as believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we no longer pattern ourselves with the way of the world. We have been set apart and God has ultimately become our source of everything.
Our little girls need to learn this attitude and develop this habit as well in their lives while they are still young. When they are in trouble, they will not run to their friends first, or choose to worry but they will seek God first. We know that when we seek God first in all things, everything else will fall into the right place.
Declare this prayer to your little girl that she will grow up to be a woman who will seek God first in all things, even in her decision making in life; that she will learn to trust in the Lord and lean not in her own understandings. Then everything else will fall into its right place without worries, stress and unnecessary thoughts and feelings that don’t come from the Lord. This is a powerful declaration that you can do for your little girl.
