The opening scripture gives us a picture of God asking Joshua to pull himself together again so that he can work on what God has commanded him to do. Joshua was so overwhelmed with Moses’s death that he had to be encouraged on more than one occasion to take up the leadership mantle and lead the children of God to the promised land. Dear beloved, God is not tired of you neither has He given up on you. Just as He was with Joshua, He will be with you. Joshua finally took the encouragement of God, pulled himself together, and acted on God’s Word. The good news is that he was able to lead the children of God to the promised land. You can also do the same as a leader or potential leader of God’s people, be it in the church or as a part of society.
