The scripture says greater is he that prophesizes than he that speaks with tongues (1 Corinthians 14:5). The apostle Paul urged Timothy to pray fervently so that all the prophecies on his life could manifest. This explains why some prophecies do not come to pass. The fulfillment of prophecies is not automatic; the recipient must make a conscious effort to pray to see it come to pass. There are demons assigned by the devil to fight prophecies, so we must be on the alert to fight against them so our prophecies can materialize.
