Husbands have been given greater responsibility to love their wives. The standard is to love them even as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. Any husband who does not love his wife to the point of death has not fulfilled the Word of God and should be prepared for the consequences. A reasonable wife who enjoys the intense love of her husband will joyfully submit to her husband. Many marriages are suffering today because of this simple principle of submission from the wife and love from the husband. People who do not understand this principle should not marry.
