A Birthday Prayer for Grandson

Nothing is more precious and special to grandparents than their grandchildren. Grandchildren are the greatest gift of blessings one can receive from the Lord. 

Now, as your grandson’s birthday approaches, you may be thinking of prayers for him that you want to offer to the LORD, and you landed here for that reason. You are in the right place!

What can I say to my grandson on his birthday?

There are many ways to express your love and care for your grandson on his birthday. You can thank him for his life and how much you appreciate his coming into this world. You can also ask him about his plans or the new things he’s doing to update his life. Have a great conversation with your grandson on his birthday and express how much you value him. You can also talk to him about God’s great plans for his life by reminding him of God’s promises, encouraging him about heavenly things, and magnifying the love and goodness of God. You may remind him why he still breathes and lives to celebrate another year of his life.

How do I pray for my grandson?

1. You can begin by thanking God for his life. Remember God’s goodness, grace, blessing, protection, wisdom, and never-failing guidance and love in your grandson’s life. Then simply add your declarations and good hopes in Christ Jesus’ name.

2. You can also pray the Scriptures, the powerful promises of God, upon your grandson’s life. For instance, ( For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11) contains God’s promise of hope and a future; (Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6) speaks of God’s promise to complete the good thing He has begun in your grandson’s life until the day of Christ Jesus.

3. You can also declare and speak life, blessing, breakthrough, favor, and all the goodness of God upon your grandson’s life in the name of Jesus.
