A Christmas Prayer for School

Christmas is a time when students are thrilled and excited to spend the holidays with their families and loved ones. It is a time where they can receive gifts, get their wishes granted, and so much more. They also get to take a vacation and rest their minds and bodies. But more than all this, the true essence of Christmas is about the birth of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is a great time to remember that God so loved the world that He gave us His only Begotten Son, so that those who believe in Jesus will not perish, but instead have everlasting life (see John 3:16).

As you search for a good Christmas prayer for your school, it is a great opportunity to remind students and teachers alike of the real meaning of Christmas. You can pray A Christmas Prayer for School in this manner:

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing all of us to gather here to celebrate Christmas and enjoy every moment with each other. May each of us be reminded of the birth and life of the Lord Jesus Christ, His sacrifices for us, and the gift of eternal life that is granted to those who believe in Him. We praise You and glorify You for sending Your only Begotten Son. We are grateful for Jesus Christ, and we celebrate and honor His life this Christmas, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing all of us to gather here to celebrate Christmas and enjoy every moment with each other.

You can pray for God’s peace and joy to come upon your classmates and friends who are unable to celebrate Christmas with their families. Lord Jesus, I praise You and thank You for Your life and all Your sacrifices for our sake, and I honor and acknowledge that not just this Christmas, but for the rest of my life. As my classmates, teachers, and friends celebrate Christmas with their families and loved ones, as well as anyone who feels lonely or sad for some reason this holiday, I pray that You manifest Your tangible presence in their midst. May they find hope, salvation, freedom, and life’s purpose in Your name this Christmas, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing all of us to gather here to celebrate Christmas and enjoy every moment with each other.

Let the Holy Spirit lead you into praying and allow His anointing power to flow through you as you pray.

What do you wish for Christmas?

It is a tradition for most people across the world to make wishes during Christmas, hoping that their wishes will be granted. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, you know that you have a Heavenly Father who is always there to listen and answer your prayers and hopes. Jesus Christ said in John 14:13, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” This Christmas, as you pray for your school during your quiet time with the LORD, there are many things you can ask Him for. Here are some lists of things you can pray for your school this Christmas:

  1. Pray for the restoration of families. You know that some of your classmates and teachers are going through tough times with their families, and it can be beneficial to pray for restoration and peace to come upon their households.
  2. Pray for the LORD Jesus Christ to be known. Nothing is as beautiful as the gift of salvation brought about by the LORD Jesus Christ. You can pray for your friends, classmates, and teachers to have open hearts and minds to receive and know Jesus Christ in their life.
  3. Bless the families of your classmates and teachers.
  4. You can declare breakthroughs in areas of lack in the lives of your teachers and classmates, such as their families’ finances, businesses, ministries, and so on.
  5. You can pray for and declare the fruit of the Spirit to come upon the lives of your classmates and teachers (Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance….).
  6. You can also declare protection upon them and their families as they celebrate the holidays. Some of them may be going out of town to celebrate Christmas, so it’s a great time to also pray for their protection.
  7. You can bless your school, in general, and declare God’s blessings upon every student, teacher, and staff.
  8. You can pray for your school janitors, security guards, and maintenance staff and bless them and their families this Christmas.
  9. You can pray for wisdom and guidance for your principal, and all the heads of your school in their dealings and decision-making with the school and student affairs.
  10. You can pray for the students’ futures in your school, specifically that they may finish their studies and have a good future with Jesus at the center.
  11. You can declare salvation for the whole school and an open door for the Gospel to enter that place.
  12. You can also look for God’s promises in the Bible and declare them for the school, your classmates, and your teachers. Praying and declaring the Word of God is powerful because it speaks His will on Earth.

These are some things that you can pray for at your school this Christmas. The Holy Spirit may show you many other things you can pray for in your school. Your prayers make a great impact in the lives of your friends, classmates, and teachers, even if you don’t see it. Know that, as you come to God in prayer, He is pleased with your intercessions and receives your prayers like incense in heaven.

What Does the Scripture Say about Christmas?

The Bible does not specifically mention the word “Christmas,” but believers refer to the event as the birth of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
