A Child’s Prayer to be a Good Student

Education is a gift from God. It is a blessing to be able to send your child to school to learn many things that can be beneficial for their future. It takes discipline, perseverance, and nearly supernatural strength for a child to undergo and excel in their education over many years.

One of the best ways to help children in their studies is by teaching them how to pray to God. For instance, you can teach them how to pray to be a good student. You can teach them to pray in this manner:

Dear God, thank You for the gift of education, for helping my mom and dad be able to send me to school. Thank You for providing for all that I need through them. I pray that You continuously give me wisdom, strength, and understanding in absorbing and applying all the lessons I receive in school, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dear God, thank You for the gift of education, for helping my mom and dad be able to send me to school.

You can also read children a Scripture promise from the Bible that may help them in their studies and teach them how to pray the Scripture. Here’s an example:

Deuteronomy 31:6 says, Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Dear God, thank You for the gift of education, for helping my mom and dad be able to send me to school.

Dear LORD, thank You, for I don’t have to be afraid of anything. You give me the courage and strength to face my studies because you have already gone ahead of me. You will never leave me or forsake me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dear God, thank You for the gift of education, for helping my mom and dad be able to send me to school.

In this way, as you teach your child to pray for his studies, he also gets to know the Word of God and declare it on his own. God’s Word is powerful because it renews the way you think and the way you feel. After all, the Holy Spirit gives life to the written love letters of Abba Father (the Scriptures).

How do you pray for children’s studies?

Sometimes, kids can get distracted, discouraged, or disheartened along the way when they encounter trials, difficulties, and challenges. That’s why parents must teach them about God and His Word, even as young as they are. The Word of God is the anchor of the soul; it gives strength, hope, and encouragement when one goes through challenges and trials because it details the Father’s promises through Jesus Christ.

One of the best and most effective ways to pray for your children’s studies is by praying the Scriptures. When you declare God’s Word in their spirit, you are sowing seeds of faith that will someday bear eternal fruit in their lives.

Here are some Bible verses that you can pray and declare for your children’s studies:

A Child’s Prayer to be a Good Student

As you pray and declare the Word of God each day for your child, you will see God’s hand moving powerfully, not just in his/her studies, but throughout their entire life.

How do you pray for success in school?

For your child to be successful in school, you only need to establish his/her relationship with God. Joseph was successful in everything he did because the LORD was with him; David similarly succeeded in everything because the LORD was with him.

It’s not about what we do, but what God has done and who He is. Your children need to establish a deep relationship with God, with the Lord Jesus Christ, so that in whatever they do they will be successful, due to the presence of God in their life.

Instead of focusing on success, awards, honors, and recognition, focus on your child’s faith and let the Word of God dwell richly in his or her life. In this way, no matter the challenges or difficulties your child may face in the future, he/she will continuously walk in confidence in the LORD and the Word of God because He is faithful and true.

Thus, you can pray for your child’s success in school in this manner:

Heavenly Father, I praise You and thank You for the life of my child. You constantly make Yourself known to Him and let Him experience Your tangible love and presence. As he continuously does his best in his studies, I pray that his eyes are constantly fixed upon Your Word and in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of His faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dear God, thank You for the gift of education, for helping my mom and dad be able to send me to school.
