A Birthday Prayer for My Goddaughter

So, it’s time to celebrate your goddaughter’s birthday and here you are, thinking about what could be a good birthday gift for her. It is a privilege and a blessing to be a godparent of someone else’s child. It’s almost as if God has blessed you with a child of your own. And on her birthday, you want to make her feel special and loved. You can do that in many ways, one of which is praying for her on her birthday. Here is an example of that kind of prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the life of my precious goddaughter. Thank You for giving her another year to celebrate her birthday with her loved ones. On your goddaughter’s approaching birthday, you may be thinking about ways to bless her. We know that God is the source of all blessings and good things, for all good things come from above (see James 1:17). One of the best blessings you can give to your goddaughter is praying the Scriptures.
